Two nurses have been recognised for their work at a north London hospital.

Joy Robb, sister on the critical care unit at the Whittington Hospital near Highgate, has won an award for improving the quality of care or services to patients.

Meanwhile Jasmin Archibald, ward manager of the neonatal intensive care unit, won an award for dedication to services to patients.

The fifth annual Whittington Achievement Awards were held last month to acknowledge and reward staff who have made an exceptional contribution to the running of the hospital.

Nominations for the awards are made by other members of the trust's staff.
