Macmillan is about to commission new research to assess the current size, location and composition of the cancer workforce in England and Wales.

This new insight is vital if we and partner organisations are to assess any changes in the cancer workforce since the last CNS Census in 2014 that might help to inform future workforce planning.

The research will take place on Monday 9 October, and will include adult cancer and palliative care nurses, healthcare assistants, and allied health professionals, with work planned for the community and hospice based palliative care cancer workforce at a later date.

Lead cancer nurses based in the NHS will be asked to complete information on behalf of their teams, with allied health professionals surveyed individually.

We hope you agree this is an important piece of work and will be keen to participate if asked.
