Around 625,000 people experience long-term consequences following cancer treatment and may need specialist advice.

The virtual Multi-Disciplinary Team platform provides access to this advice: it’s a secure online forum accepting referrals for people suffering complex or severe symptoms following cancer treatment who have either:

  • been treated for cancer in childhood through to young adulthood
  • undergone a bone marrow transplant
  • or been treated for pelvic cancers by any treatment modality.

If your patients meet these criteria, refer them to the vMDT to receive advice from experts within two weeks and support shared decision-making on future care.

Find out more at www.macmillan.org.uk/vmdt or email consequences@macmillan.org.uk with any questions.
