We’re always developing new and updated resources for people affected by cancer and those who work with them. It might be helpful to discuss these with your patients, who may find them useful to better understand their diagnosis or treatment, allowing them to feel more in control.
Some of our recently developed resources include:
- A new booklet Understanding anal cancer. It explains diagnosis and treatment, and looks at feelings that someone may have during this time.
- In our new video, Pancreatic cancer explained, Abdominal Surgeon Charles Imber gives an overview of the symptoms and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
- Looking after someone with cancer? is a new edition of a practical guide for carers of people with cancer (formerly known as Hello, and how are you?). It can help those who are looking after someone with cancer, even if they think they’re just doing their role as a husband, wife, daughter or friend.
- The 3rd edition of The signs and symptoms of cancer - what to be aware of leaflet gives information on the most common signs and symptoms of cancer. It outlines possible symptoms of the most common cancers in men and women, including breast, large bowel and lung cancer.
