Save the date: Carers' Rights Day on 25 November

  • Comment

Organised by Carers UK, this year’s Carers’ Rights Day will take place on Friday 25 November and will focus on the theme ‘Missing out? Know your rights as a carer’.

There are almost 1.5 million carers supporting a loved one through cancer in the UK. More than four in 10 cancer carers say their responsibilities impact their working life, while almost one in six report an impact on their finances. However, fewer than half of cancer carers are accessing the support they need.

Evidence shows that 86% of cancer carers encounter healthcare professionals, which makes your role vital. Macmillan needs your help to raise awareness of carers’ rights and signpost people to its resources and support, including information on rights at work and finances.
