Supporting cancer patients with money worries

‘The financial fall-out from cancer was huge. Macmillan supported me and gave guidance.’

supporting cancer patients with money worries

Christine (pictured above) was diagnosed with cancer in 2009. She had to give up work, downsize her home and was refused credit. She received support from Macmillan and was able to get her finances back on track.

Four in five (83%) people with cancer are on average £570 a month worse off as a result of their diagnosis. On our webpage, people affected by cancer can read about the financial information and support on offer, from help applying for benefits to help with bills.

Please let the people you support know that they can visit macmillan.org.uk/moneyworries.

Or you can order our Money Worries leaflet for them here.
