We are thrilled to announce that Macmillan’s Working through Cancer programme won the Business Disability Forum’s Disability Smart Award for Influential Business of the Year 2017.

working through cancer programme wins business disability forum award

The programme won the Award for raising the profile of the needs of people with cancer through activities such as promoting awareness of people’s ’Rights at Work’, and helping them talk to and obtain support from their employer via resources such as ‘Finding the Words’.

The Award also recognised its initiatives to change workplace attitudes, challenge misconceptions, and influence disability-related government policy to help employees affected by cancer.

The programme supports employers through Macmillan at Work, equipping them to support staff with cancer through expertise in workplace training, guidance and resources.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this work.
