Map set promotes self-management

  • Comment
A colourful set of educational maps, designed to help people with diabetes manage their condition, have been launched by Diabetes UK.

The Diabetes Conversation Map programme consists of four poster-size maps designed to help patients discuss their condition with a trained healthcare professional.

The maps cover how to manage diabetes, the importance of a healthy lifestyle, starting insulin and how to cope with living with the condition. The UK is the first country outside the US and Canada to roll out the programme.

The maps and three-hour training sessions in how to use them will be available free from June this year.
