Mental health trust launches groundbreaking website for young people

  • Comment

A new website aimed at improving the mental health of young people has been launched by a south London trust.

According to Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust – who developed the site – it is the first of its kind in England to provide information and advice on specific issues that children and young people worry about.

Users can post their own creative writing, poetry and pictures on the website and can also get information on how to access support services.

Speaking at the launch of the website, Wilf Bardsley, Oxleas’ director of nursing and governance, said: ‘This website is a really innovative way of involving young people and giving you answers to the questions that you and your families may have about issues around mental health.’

The website can be viewed at www.CamhsCares.nhs.uk
