New network for lead nurses in Northern Ireland

  • Comment

The Royal College of Nursing has established a new network for lead nurses in Northern Ireland.

The Lead Nurses Network is to be led by RCN member Pat Cullen and was launched on 15 June.

Membership is open to any RCN member working at assistant director, associate director or deputy director level, or has professional responsibility and accountability for nurses and nursing as a substantive component of their job description.

The network is intended to link with the college’s UK Nurses in Management and Leadership Forum.

RCN chief executive and general secretary Peter Carter said: “I know that Pat will provide excellent leadership to the network in its support for lead nurses as you discharge your challenging, yet rewarding, responsibilities.

“I assure you of the full commitment of the RCN to facilitating and supporting lead nurses and the work of the new Lead Nurses Network,” he added.

For more information about joining the network, contact Pat Cullen via pat.cullen@hscni.net
