The British Lung Foundation is working with the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund to support new research which could lead to better treatments for mesothelioma.

As part of this work, Stefan Marciniak, researcher at University of Cambridge has been awarded funding for a two years project, which will study the relationship between cell stress and mesothelioma.

The British Lung Foundation is holding Action Mesothelioma Day on 2nd July. The day aims to raise awareness of the disease and improve the care and treatment for patients. It will also highlight the risk of asbestos.

  • This is good news. I'm with an online resource center for mesothelioma victims & their families ( & have been encouraged by the recent increase in funding, research & awareness for the disease. Hopefully we continue to move towards a cure!
