Nursing Times launches new online learning unit on managing obesity

  • Comment

Nursing Times has launched a new online learning unit for nurses on the management of obesity.

Obesity is one of the main preventable causes of death and in the UK the number of adults who are obese is increasing at an alarming rate. The serious health consequences of obesity, are creating a huge burden on NHS resources.

As a result, Nursing Times Learning has launched an online learning unit Obesity – an introduction to management in adults to guide nurses in this area of care.

Primary care nurses, particularly those involved in managing long-term conditions, and nurses involved in health promotion, are well-placed to ensure the subject of obesity is raised during patient consultations.

Use this online learning unit to update your knowledge on this important topic. You can work through it at work or at home, stop and save your work when you need to.

Once competed you will have gained two hours of CPD hours for revalidation. Go to www.nursingtimes.net/learning to get started.
