Shortlist for this year’s Student Nursing Times Awards revealed

  • Comment

Find out if you, someone you know, or your university or trust is in the running to win a prize at this year’s Student Nursing Times Awards.

The student nurses, educators and trusts that have been shortlisted for the Student Nursing Times Awards 2018 have been revealed today (see categories listed below).

Nearly 200 entrants to the awards, now in their seventh year, have been shortlisted across 19 different categories. The winners will be announced on 26 April at a ceremony at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Last year, student nurses from Stirling, London, Nottingham and Birmingham were among those celebrated as the best in the country in their category at the annual awards ceremony in the capital.

Overall, the largest hoard of awards in 2017 went to the University of Nottingham, which walked away with four, while the University of Stirling secured two.

Sophie Cameron, from the University of Stirling, was named as the 2017 Student Nurse of the Year in the adult category at a ceremony in April last year at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Meanwhile, Anwar Tabali, who is studying at London South Bank University, was named top student in the children’s nursing category.

Among those providing nursing education, Ivor Smith, a lecturer at the University of Stirling, won the award last year for “Educator of the Year”.
