Army nurses in training to help battle with cancer

Army nurses Caroline Storm and her sister Rachel will taking part in the Bupa Great North run in aid of breast cancer research.

The sisters, who are both nurses in the British Army, will be running in September with the Breast Cancer Campaign’s Jigsaw Runners team.

They are taking part in the event in memory of a neighbour from their home town of York, who recently died from breast cancer. They have set a target of raising £700.

‘Meredith recently lost her fight with breast cancer leaving a significant imprint upon both of our lives with her vivacious and optimistic character. She was exceptionally brave and courageous throughout her illness which inspired us both to make some form of gesture to reflect this,’ they said.

Caroline and Rachel can be sponsored by contacted the Breast Cancer Campaign on 020 7749 3700.
