Dignity and end-of-life care guide updated

Guidance on pain management and end-of-life care have been added to the Dignity in Care guide produced by the Social Care Institute for Excellence.

SCIE director of adult services David Walden said: “This guide provides really helpful tips and information to help care managers and staff to improve their knowledge and, more importantly, their day-to-day practice. It is based on what people who use services have said about what supports or threatens their dignity.”

Thanks for this link NTN - some of my group's primary concern is ( was unfortunately in most cases) the quality of elder care. This area looks to be getting some of the attention it deserves now. I shall pop it on the elder care page on our little website.
