Florence Nightingale Museum to reopen

The newly renovated and refurbished Florence Nightingale Museum is to re-open on 12 May, to coincide with Ms Nightingale’s birthday and the centenary year of her death.

The museum is situated in the grounds of St Thomas’ Hospital, where the first Nightingale Training School for Nurses was established.

On display will be Ms Nightingale’s medicine chest, iconic lamp and stuffed owl Athena (pictured).
