A new a cancer website aims to promote pan-European collaboration between health care professionals on cancer care
Project Eurocancercoms will centre on a £1m European Commission drive to create a network of cancer communities, including health professionals, consumer groups and industry.
The website will give access to searchable databases for patients and health professionals, plus the results of drug and treatment trials.
Professor Richard Sullivan, from King’s College London, says: ‘It is a marvellous opportunity to understand what are the key issues in cancer communication and to create novel ways of getting information out to both the professionals and the patients.
‘This will be the first time that lots of very large groups involved in cancer in Europe have come together to improve cancer communications.’
