  • Comment

A telehealth service for patients with COPD and chronic heart failure has reduced emergency hospital attendances by 44 per cent in the first six months since it was launched, according to a preliminary assessment.

The NHS North Essex service currently covers around 100 patients whose blood pressure, oxygen levels, weight and temperature are monitored remotely on a daily basis by specialist nursing staff.
