Three nurses from Warwick Hospital joined more than 80 golfers last week to help raise money for patients with bowel cancer.

Pictured from left, Rebecca Bennett, Lucy Kelly and Ashley Duncan helped raise £6,000 for the hospital’s Willoughby Ward, which provides care for patients with lower gastro-intestinal problems.

The event was held at the Leamington and County Golf Club last Wednesday, and involved 18 holes of golf, a number of golfing competitions and a four-course evening dinner.

Ms Bennett, Willoughby ward manager, said: ‘Willoughby ward are extremely grateful for the money raised. It will now be put towards specific equipment to enhance a patient’s stay and to assist the nurses in their day-to-day tasks.’
