Nursing Times in the running to win ‘Oscars’ of media industry

  • Comment

Nursing Times has been shortlisted this year in three categories for a major set of awards for the UK media industry, including for “brand of the year” for specialist magazine titles.

The Professional Publishers Association (PPA) is the publishing industry body that promotes companies involved in the production of media in the UK.

Its annual awards, which cover 18 categories in 2019, are often referred to as the “Oscars” of the UK magazine and business publishing industry.

This year, Nursing Times has been shortlisted in the following three categories:

  • PPA Special Interest Magazine Brand of the Year Award
  • PPA Commercial Partnership of the Year Award
  • PPA Team of the Year Award

The category for Special Interest Magazine Brand of the Year Award is one of the most sought-after awards at the PPAs.

In that category, Nursing Times will be up against titles including New Scientist, Cycling Weekly, several BBC magazines and the comic the Beano.

The 39th annual PPA Awards will be staged in June at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.
