Men of Yorkshire targeted in new health promotion

  • Comment

A new health ‘manual’ has been launched that is specifically targeted at men in Yorkshire.

Designed to look like a car manual, ‘Yorkshire Man: A step-by-step guide’ provides information on men’s health needs and NHS services in the region.

Partners on the project include Leeds Metropolitan University, the Department of Health, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, the Men’s Health Forum, and Leeds Rhinos’ rugby league team.

Alan White, chair of the Men’s Health Forum (pictured second left with members of the rugby team), said: ‘We hope that the Yorkshire Man mini-manual will provide an easily understood reference guide for men that can give them the information they need to make the right choices with regard to their health.’
