NHS Choices website spells out vital information on hepatitis C

  • Comment

A new NHS Choices website offers information to nurses and patients on the blood-borne infection hepatitis C and how it is spread.

There is also a dedicated part of the website for health professionals, with videos, information about symptoms and frequently asked questions from patients.

It also provides information about existing NICE guidance on treatments for hepatitis C.

Hepatitis C is a blood-borne virus that can cause cirrhosis of the liver and liver failure and is commonly caught by drug users sharing infected needles.
