RCN Scotland has welcomed plans by the Scottish Government to address historical issues of alcohol consumption.
The Scottish Nationalist Party-run devolved government will work with the Labour to tackle historical issues of alcohol consumption.
Possible policies include a ban on discounted alcohol sales and a minimum price for alcohol.
RCN Scotland’s director, Theresa Fyffe, said: ‘RCN Scotland has consistently supported the Scottish Government’s stance on this issue. It represents a significant step in tackling the excessive alcohol consumption that impacts so many aspects of society. With nurses facing the results of alcohol misuse on a daily basis, any action to tackle this is to be welcomed.’
