NI postpones final AfC pay deadlines

  • Comment
The deadline for Northern Ireland’s full implementation of Agenda for Change pay scales has been put back two months.

The Northern Ireland Executive said it had been advised by unions that its original 31 March deadline for full roll-out ‘may not be achievable’ and that it was moving it to the end of June.

Northern Ireland health minister Michael McGimpsey said: ‘I expect the process to be completed as quickly as possible to avoid any unnecessary anxiety for staff involved.’

Around 70% of NHS staff in Northern Ireland are currently on Agenda for Change pay rates, according to the executive.
