NICE approves adalimumab

  • Comment
The rheumatoid arthritis drug adalimumab has been added to updated NICE guidance on etanercept and infliximab.

The three drugs can be used if a patient has already tried methotrexate and other disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs. People who are treated with adalimumab, etanercept or infliximab should normally also be given methotrexate.

This guidance replaces a previous version issued in March 2002.
