Childhood vaccinations do not increase the risk of atopic diseases, a new Australian research into the issue says.

Childhood vaccinations do not increase the risk of atopic diseases, a new Australian research into the issue says.

The study team looked at the immunisation records of 8,443 Tasmanian children born in 1961 who were followed up in 1974 and 1991.

Findings show that diphtheria is weakly associated with an increase in asthma at the age of seven
but there is no evidence that any other vaccines had an effect, the authors add.
