Number of nursing and health jobs continue to grow in recession and credit crunch

  • Comment

Nursing and health was the only jobs sector to demonstrate growth amid the recession and credit crunch, according to a report.

The monthly Report on Jobs from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation trade body, showed job vacancies were reducing in all sectors apart from nursing, medical and care.

It shows the trend is the same for both permanent and temporary health jobs, as the credit crunch and recession takes hold in the wider economy.

Data was based on a survey of recruitment consultancies across the UK.

According to the data, skills in short supply in nursing were clinical project managers.
