Nurse completes marathon for children

  • Comment

Paediatric nurse Charlie Hurcum, 29, from Weston-super-Mare, was one of the thousands who completed this year’s London Marathon.

Ms Hurcum, who works at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, completed the course in four hours and 26 minutes, and raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a charity for children with life-threatening conditions.

She said: ‘I ran for Make-A-Wish because working as a nurse on the neurological ward I see so many children living with life-threatening illnesses and they go through a great deal.’
