Nurse director steps into trust's top job

Former director of nursing Caroline Oakley has taken over as chief executive of Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trust.

Former director of nursing Caroline Oakley has taken over as chief executive of Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trust.

Ms Oakley said: 'I am pleased to have the opportunity to take up the post at what is a very exciting and challenging period of change for healthcare, not only in this area but across Wales and the UK.?

Ms Oakley has been director of nursing and quality at the trust for the last 16 months, and was previously the nurse director for Pembrokeshire Local Health Board. She replaces interim chief executive Keith Thomson.
