Nurses all at sea

  • Comment
Clinical skills have come in handy for two nurses rowing across the Atlantic.

Elin Davies and Herdip Sidhu, from London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital, are hoping to raise money for research into metabolic conditions.

They began the 2,500 mile trip eight weeks ago and now have less than 1,000 miles left to row.

However, at one point Ms Davies had to insert an IV line into Ms Sidhu to replace lost fluids after she suffered severe seasickness. ‘It was quite a challenge in the middle of the Atlantic,’ she told NT via satellite phone.
