Nurses go to work on schoolchild obesity checks

Public health nurses in Tyneside are carrying out annual measures on the height and weight of schoolchildren this month.

Michelle Coote, a staff nurse with North Tyneside PCT, is working with pupils at Battle Hill Primary School in Wallsend on as part of the government’s national programme to tackle rising obesity levels among children under the age of 11 in England.
