Nurses hold clothes-swapping party for cancer charities

  • Comment

After raising more than £900 for cancer charities last year, nurses from Ipswich hospital are once again urging people to attend a swishing party to raise money.

The event is organised by maxillofacial nurse specialist Allison Weston.

She said: “Last year was a fantastic day with hundreds of visitors and we would like to double the amount of money that we raise this year.

“We ask people to bring along any good condition adult clothing and accessories and for each item they donate, they can choose a swap for free. Any clobber left at the end of the day is sent to local charities so there is no waste at all.”
