  • Comment

London-wide Local Medical Committees is the first organisation of its kind in the country to see nurse representation.

London-wide LMCs acts as the voice for practice teams and GPs across the capital’s 1,500 practices.

Chief executive Michelle Drage told Nursing Time’s sister magazine the Health Service Journal nurses would be represented on the board in an interview last week.

The news follows Nursing Times’ successful “Seat on the Board” campaign earlier this year, which called for there to be a nurse on the board of every clinical comissioning group.
