Registered users of nursingtimes.net can win a copy of the novel ‘10-minute consultation: cardiovascular risk’

About the book

Cardiovascular (CV) disease is the biggest killer in the UK and, consequently, nurses have an important role in both primary and secondary prevention. The “10-minute consultation: cardiovascular risk” handbook explains the concept of risk and how the number of people suffering heart attacks or strokes can be reduced by increased screening (in new patient registration and vascular checks), aggressive management of CV risk factors to reach targets (through patient education, medication reviews and follow-up clinics) and empowering individuals to look after their health.
