Online centre opens to all mentors

A new online resource for nurse mentors has been launched by Napier University, a nurse education centre in Scotland.

The website, Mentorcentre, was designed to provide mentors of nursing and midwifery students with the information they need to be able to work effectively as a mentor and to support students’ learning in practice.

The site contains up-to-date information on mentoring and provides access to a number of relevant course and programme documents. Some of its information is specific to the university, but it also contains useful tools for mentors and students all over the country.

An interactive discussion forum facility is also available which allows users to communicate with fellow mentors and academic colleagues.
