A Wikipedia-style site for pharmaceutical information has been developed by the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA).
Pharmapedia, which is the first information repository of this kind to be generated by pharmaceutical professionals, allows access to basic and advanced pharmacy and medicines management information written by practitioners.
The site, which has been developed in partnership with other organisations, contains content which will be reviewed by those within the pharmaceutical industry and will be updated by an accredited group.
It currently contains 741 articles on medicines, diseases and conditions and minor ailments, while its creators hope its user-generated content will constantly evolve to reflect practitioner needs.
Medical professionals can register to access or contribute to the site by logging on to pharmapedia.org.
