’With examples around changing careers and taking risks, Hasson give practical advice and suggestions on how to exert yourself in any situation.’

Title: Confidence Pocketbook

Author: Gill Hasson

Publisher: Capstone

Reviewer: Nicole South, senior lecturer, Canterbury Christ Church University

What was it like?

This book is by Gill Hasson who previously wrote Emotional Intelligence and the Mindfulness Pocket book. Being a fan of these previous titles I had high hopes for this title and its exploration of one’s confidence. This micro sized publication defines confidence in its entirety and invites the reader to examine there own understanding, providing practice examples to develop personal skills. With examples around changing careers and taking risks, Hasson give practical advice and suggestions on how to exert yourself in any situation.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

I would like there to be more images within the text to enhance it visually but I enjoyed the simple and repetitive layout, which made it easy to pick up and put down at ones leisure.

Who should read it:

I have recommended this book to a number of different people from a variety of backgrounds and professions. This book can support individuals from any area of life and is a great personal resources to reflect on individual confidence and to aid in the development of personal skills and self awareness.
