’People experiencing dizzy spells and healthcare professionals working with them would find this book useful’

Title: Dizziness - Why you feel dizzy & what will help you feel better

Authors: Gregory T Whitman and Robert W Baloh

Publisher: John Hopkins University Press

Reviewer: Debbie Quinn, Queens Nurse

What was it like?

A self-help book for people experiencing dizziness.

What were the highlights?

Surprisingly useful self-help book not only for people experiencing dizziness. It offers reasons why people are dizzy, medical testing, treatments and self-help ideas but equally useful to healthcare workers who work with people who experience dizziness. As a previous MS specialist nurse, I found it really useful.

Strengths & weaknesses

This book is practical and useful. Easy to read and understand without being patronising. Only minor negative was the American medication and treatment options given, which could confuse people and offer some false hope.

Who should read it?

People experiencing dizzy spells and healthcare professionals working with them.
