Oral anaesthetic mask warning

Medical device regulators have issued a warning about reusable flexible laryngeal masks.

Medical device regulators have issued a warning about reusable flexible laryngeal masks.

The warning refers to masks supplied by Intavent Orthofix with the codes 7125R and 7125DR.

The agency said there was a risk of the tube kinking in the proximity of the connector, which could lead to the obstruction of airflow to the patient.

Theatre nurses and A&E staff should identify and quarantine affected devices, the agency said.
