Postgradutate centre opens for nurses

The University of Sheffield's School of Nursing and Midwifery has opened a new centre for Postgraduate and continuing professional development (CPD) education.

The University of Sheffield's School of Nursing and Midwifery has opened a new centre for Postgraduate and continuing professional development (CPD) education.

The Centre for Health & Social Care Studies and Service Development will offer research degree and master's degrees as well as study days and specialist modules.

The centre is intended to impact positively on patient care by providing practitioners with high quality, research based education.

Anne Peat, dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Sheffield, said: 'It gives us the opportunity to broaden our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, alongside our research interests, and create innovative lifelong learning opportunities.'
