A support scheme for nurses wanting to undertake practice-based research has been launched by the Foundation of Nursing Studies and the General Nursing Council Trust.
The two organisations have formed a partnership to support nurse-led healthcare teams who have identified an aspect of care that needs improving and can be changed for the better through research.
The programme can offer a range of support including advice on the developing an effective project proposal and funding of up to £5,000.
Applicants and projects must be based in clinical practice and it is anticipated that projects will run over a maximum of two years. The closing date for the first round of applications is 30 April 2007.
