Pulmonary Nodules

Approximately 50% of smokers will develop a pulmonary nodule like the one pictured here.

These nodules can be evaluated on their radiologic appearance to determine the likelihood of malignancy. High risk features include a size over 20mm, a patient’s age over 60, and non-uniform appearance on CT.
