RCM freezes membership fees

The Royal College of Midwives announced that its membership fees would remain frozen at 2009 levels next year for the second year running.

The decision by the RCM’s council applies to all membership rates, including those for maternity support workers.

RCM director of employment relations and development Jon Skewes said: “In the current economic climate it is important that we do as much as possible to lift the financial burden from our members, especially in view of the public sector pay freeze announced by the government.”
