Quarter of NHS nurses and HCAs prepared to ‘pay for own training’

I have made huge financial and personal sacrifices since becoming a nurse and paid fo almost all my training and updates myself. This was to ensure that I could provide professional, quality care for my patients and develop myself within my career choice. It is wrong to expect nurses to do this or to relay on charitable or benevolent funds in order to acheive what should be provided as part of our work.
