NHS pensions pay more than private sector

Why shouldn't public sector workers get a decent pension. In the main, they spend their working lives on lower salaries, suffer more stress, abuse and are generaly looked down on by our 'private sector' opposites. I would have thought that the private sector would be aiming to improve the pension provision for itself rather than reducing pension benefits in the public sector. And don't forget that in our beloved country, the old age pension provision for pensioners is the LOWEST in Europe, (fact), in terms of its relation to average pay. So Private Sector, up your game to match the public sector instead of continualy knocking the public sector.
