No problem Susan, I was surprised to hear that is the situation in the US, I know that isn't the case in Oz, and I'm pretty sure it isn't the case in Canada either? To be fair though, I think even the Doctors over here in the UK do have the same superior ego and the expectation that everyone will follow orders (I think that stems from the past when they did use to be the sole authority on medical matters), but are sorely surprised when they find that Nurses here won't stand for that.
