Free slippers 'cut falls risk'

we have free slippers for patients too, we are no allowed to use those horrible 'paddy paws' foam things any more. some patients insist on walking around bare-foot, or with only socks on, or with slippers that have no support in them - what can you do? these things need to be taken into consideration when patients trip, slip or fall. patients do have to start taking some responsibility.
