CQC calls for Cumberland Infirmary to improve patient care

This is what happens when managers think a CQC inspection is about evidence folders and cupboards being tidy and overlook the need to actually have the right staff to look after the patients - that is in training, experience and numbers. I am tired of attending meetings where we are told without a trace of irony that we need to cut numbers of trained nurses and that we need to have multiple inspections and folders to satisfy CQC - I keep saying if we are doing a good job then they will see it when they come.
