North Lincs senior nurses now ‘in the navy’

Why are we going backwards with this, what is next hats and frilly sleeves? I can't understand why every Trust doesn't just put the whole of the workforce into laundered scrubs of the same colour clearly marked front and back with the simplest job title (nurse, matron, physio, doctor, receptionist, dietician, etc). They put the entire nursing workforce at our Trust into the most uncomfortable uniforms recently (100% thick polyester, high necked monstrosities) to supposedly enable patients to easily identify the different nursing roles. They then had to put up a poster explaining which colour meant what!! So we ended up with uncomfortable unclear uniforms at a cost of hundreds of thousands of pounds!
