Empowering nurses, frontline staff, patients and relatives

Derek, absolutely. I have always thought that WE are the NHS. The frontline staff & the patients. Those too far removed are not the experts, we are. They can intellectualise and may be well intentioned but we are having the 'experience' and we know at ground level where improvements NEED to be made. We, the staff and patients are the eyes and ears and have our finger of the pulse. We should collaborate and join forces. This shouldn't be a 'them & us' scenario. We are all one! Hope someone will listen to you, US.
